The last James Bond movie to star Daniel Craig still sits with a 63 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes, right in that vague netherworld between “fresh” and “rotten.” And while it was an enormous financial success ($881 million at the worldwide box office), it was considered something of a step back since its predecessor, 2012’s Skyfall, which grossed more than $1 billion. It might have been unrealistic to think Bond could hit that mark again, so in relative terms Spectre did quite well on its own terms and as part of the overall franchise....

Even though Inception was released in 2010, Nolan had presented a treatment to Warner Bros. about “dream stealers” in 2002 before shelving it to work on other projects. This animated series, adapted from Robert Kirkman’s comic of the same name, opts to not only include a post-credit scene at the end of its first episode…it includes damn near a whole new post-credit episode! “It’s About Time” concludes with Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun) suiting up and announcing his new “Invincible” monniker to some villains, sending the show to its end credits around the 37-minute mark. But there still remains a staggering 10 minutes to the episode’s run time....

Hit superhero animated series Invincible closes out its first season with a clash of global proportions between Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun) and his dad, Omni Man/Nolan Grayson (J.K. Simmons), who reveals that his home planet of Viltrum is actually a world-enslaving evil empire and he’s one of their conquerors, sent to Earth to overthrow and indoctrinate. The world looks on as Nolan puts a one-sided whooping on his son when Mark refuses to join his cause, and Debbie (Sandra Oh) is forced to question everything about her marriage to who she thought was a loving husband but turned out to be a murdering warlord....

Sony Pictures Television, the studio behind Jeopardy!, announced today that two guest hosts will see the beloved quiz show institution through to the end of the calendar year, following the ousting of the former executive producer and the show’s (poor) choice to replace Alex Trebek, Mike Richards. Former guest host Mayim Bialik, who has already secured a job hosting primetime Jeopardy! specials, will begin her next guest hosting stint on September 20 and end it the first week of November, for seven weeks total....

Grønbekk’s new book, due out June 8, has a hell of a hook. “Someone is plotting in the shadows, somewhere Sif’s all-seeing sight doesn’t reach, bringing together the enemies of Asgard, promising that if they attack, Thor will be gone,” she tells us. “And when they attack, Thor is gone. Early in Jurassic World Dominion, Bryce Dallas Howard’s Claire Dearing rescues a baby triceratops from the cruelties of man when she stumbles upon one in a cage. And for the first time since Jurassic World dropped “Park” from the title, the filmmakers are again using delightful animatronics instead of only CGI....

Killing Eve Season 2 Episode 8 Killing Eve set the tone for its season 2 finale early: Eve heard gunshots outside her room, kicking off a sequence that led to Villanelle slitting Aaron Peel’s throat while making him watch, all within the first fifteen minutes. Where do we go from here? the two women were left wondering while the audience glanced at the clock and had much the same experience. This season started off strong and faltered a bit when Villanelle became too much a part of Eve’s world, their interactions too commonplace to have the kind of strange, stabby spark that makes the show so electric....

But then, on the 7th of September 1987, like lightning in the dark, came CITV’s Knightmare. Enter, Stranger… Knightmare was a four-player, live-action, D&D-inspired, CGI, VR, RPG for kids – not to mention a boon for acronym enthusiasts everywhere. It ran for eight seasons from 1987 to 1994, garnering millions of viewers, and exciting children’s imaginations in ways that few other shows had succeeded. The concept was straightforward: a team of four kids worked together either to escape a dungeon (earlier seasons), or embark on a quest for a sacred object across a mythical landscape (later seasons)....

Who is Ada’s father? It’s the question asked in the very first shot of Valdimar Jóhannsson’s Lamb, as an unseen person (or animal) treks through a frigid Christmas Eve snow, looking for comfort. I doubt I was the only viewer to be suspicious about the characters we meet, particularly when brother Pétur (Björn Hlynur Haraldsson) shows up on the farm unannounced later in the movie. Could he be Ada’s father?...

First off, let’s be very clear that the leaked footage in question is about as unofficial as it gets. At the time of this writing, there has been no official word regarding the leaked footage’s authenticity. Furthermore, the footage itself is quite strange. It looks like a recording of an internal demo captured via cell phone by what appears to be a notably shirtless man. Obviously, that’s not the ideal way to view gameplay footage, if the footage itself is indeed authentic....

Yet, Legends ultimately pulled off the switch in style, using this second iteration to explore central truths about who Zari is through a very different lens. And according to actress Tala Ashe, the heart of Zari’s journey hasn’t actually changed that much just because this incarnation of the character loves stilettos and juice cleanses. “I think sometimes people forget, [Zari 2.0] is the same person,” Ashe tells Den of Geek....

FX’s Legion, which first premiered five years ago today, exists outside of the Marvel continuity…like way, way outside of it. This series borrows some of the X-Men characters owned by Fox at the time (which is now, of course, owned by Marvel’s parent company Disney) to present a trippy, auteurist vision from Fargo creator Noah Hawley. Anybody who tells you that they understood everything that happened in Legion is lying....
