The Umbrella Academy season 3 is set to be released June 22 and it will be a busy one for the Hargreeves family of crime fighters. After averting a 1963 nuclear apocalypse in season 2, the gang returns to the present only to find there’s a new team called the Sparrows living in their house. Based on the trailer for season 3, hilarity and many superpowers punches thrown will ensue. Other Netflix TV original series of note this month include the vampire love story First Kill (June 10) the Melissa McCarthy comedy God’s Favorite Idiot (June 15), and animated series Dead End: Paranormal Park. On the film side of things, Adam Sandler continues his Netflix partnership with basketball story Hustle (June 8). That will be followed by a whole host of interesting documentaries like the Warren Jeffs cult exploration Keep Sweet: Pray and Obey (June 8), Watergate doc The Margaret Mitchell Effect (June 17), and Civil (June 19). Naturally June 1 sees the usual influx of library titles. This month can boast His Dark Materials: The Golden Compass, The Amazing Spider-Man, Titanic, and more. Of particular interest to ’90s and ’00s kids, however, will be June 21. That will see the arrival of Kenan & Kel, Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, and Zoey 101.
